On 28 August 2025, the Kairros team travelled to Canberra to deliver our ‘Cultural impacts on recovery and return to work’ training session to participants drawn from across the public and private sectors.
The popular training session provides participants with an in-depth understanding of:
- How cultural beliefs shape symptom recognition and treatment-seeking behaviour
- The role of cultural perception in understanding pain and mental health
- Best-practice in cross-cultural communication
- Strategies to support culturally diverse workers to achieve improved health and recovery outcomes.
A highly engaged audience made for a fantastic session, with participants highlighting both the relevance and delivery of the content:
A very needed and tailored service. Bree gave a good presentation!

Our Canberra event provided the opportunity to bring together a wide range of professionals from a variety of organisations, who all share a common goal – to better support culturally diverse workers to achieve equitable rehabilitation and recovery outcomes. Kairros schedules group sessions like this across the year, and tailors specialist sessions for team training days. To find out more about our training opportunities head to our website.
